Chronology of cameras Houghton

This is the first model of the “All Distance Pocket Ensign” series. It has a single viewfinder, a cracked paint, a shutter with Instant/B/T settings, and no handle. Its successor, the “No. 2”, will receive in addition : a frame finder, a 3-speed Trichro shutter, as well as a handle and a leather covering.

Three apertures are available through a “rotating eye” (‘small’, ‘medium’, and ‘large’), and a distance setting on the door (‘portrait’, ‘views’), are the other rustic settings.

The film spool axis (patent n. 281802) are articulated and can be easily disengaged in order to install or remove the film spool.

The McKeown guidebook states that this model also existed in black, blue, red, or silver versions.
